I’m a lifelong Oregonian, raised in Portland. I’m married to a pharmacist at OHSU and we have twin daughters at Grant High School. I work in the political arena, though for three years I helped manage a family business in the 80’s.
I first heard about the Archimedes Movement about 5 years ago, during an interview with John Kitzhaber.
I volunteer my time with We Can Do Better because I believe that the costs of health care drive our economy and that access to health care needs to be universal.
And I believe a transformed health care system would get the costs under control, especially with the insurance industry and maximize access to as many as possible.
Most fun thing I’ve done with/for We Can Do Better? Talking to legislators and tabling at public events.
