City Club of Portland Event: PERS and/or Revenue Reform: What’s Possible?

As the Oregon Legislature faces a $1.8B budget hole, many are asking: “Where’s the urgency? and “What’s possible?” Can PERS costs be lowered? Are there revenue solutions? Can one happen without the other? And, if legislators punt this session, who pays the price?

To begin, we will start with a refresher on “Oregon Values and Beliefs” by John Horvick. Then Oregonian reporter Betsy Hammond will facilitate a panel discussion.
