Federal health policy is shifting as President-Elect Donald Trump prepares to take office. Meanwhile, Oregon’s legislature prepares for what is expected to be a difficult budget session, with broad implications for the health care system.

  • What role will “blue states” like Oregon have in a time of unified Republican control of Washington DC?
  • How will federal health policy impact Oregon’s CCO transformation project?
  • How can Oregon learn from Maryland’s “all payer” model

Two of America’s leading governors on health policy will talk through these questions. Gov. O’Malley will lead off with a presentation on lessons learned from Maryland’s “all payer” model. He will then be joined by Gov. Kitzhaber for an informal discussion on how progressive states like Oregon and Maryland might extend their models amidst a fundamental re-alignment of health policy.
