Better access to health insurance from the rollout of the Affordable Care Act is the biggest change in Lane County’s health picture from three years ago, according to the newly released 2015 Community Health Needs Assessment.
About 6 percent of county residents were without health insurance in 2015, a drop from 23 percent in 2012.
United Way of Lane County has partnered with local health agencies to conduct the assessment every three years to identify priorities for collaborative work to improve community health.
