Working with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Harvard School of Public Health, NPR asked people on Facebook to share their experiences within the US health care system. Within 24 hours they had close to 1,000 stories. Anyone who wonders why we do the work we do should check out the full story along with the links to the polling data, charts and data. The authors, Richard Knox and Patti Neighmond, ended th article saying:
According to the new poll, one in four people with recent illness say the quality of care is not a problem for this country. That’s not exactly a ringing endorsement.
And even though nearly half of poll respondents say they’re very satisfied with the quality of care they get, that leaves lots of room for improvement.
