The vision of the Archimedes Movement is to create a new system that optimizes the heath of Oregonians. Health promotion, disease prevention, wellness and health education are essential to achieving that goal. They are certainly not supported in our current system. The principles developed by our members clearly show that the public wants a focus on preventing disease and keeping people out of the health care system in the first place. As a result, there will be a high priority placed on wellness and prevention.
