Voting Begins Now to Select Archimedes Leadership

Become a Member and Vote
Voting has begun to select the at-large members of our new Community Leadership Council. All members of the Archimedes Movement are eligible to vote. We had more than twenty-five members put their names forward to lead the Archimedes Movement through this year of growth and transformation. Members can vote for up to 6 nominees, and the choices aren't easy, because every nominee would bring unique strengths and insights to the Community Leadership Council. You can see these nominees on our Candidates web page. If you're ready to vote and you're not yet a member, it's easy to do so by visiting our Membership page.

Voting ends at midnight on July 3rd, so don't delay. Within 24 hours of creating your membership, you will receive voting instructions by email.

Individual membership in the Archimedes Movement is only $35 per year, but we do not want the cost of membership to be a barrier to anyone. We have family and student rates and you can contact Julie DeLano if you want to explore getting a scholarship for membership.

Grassroots Driven
The Community Leadership Council will start meeting this Summer. It will consist of six council members chosen at-large in this election, six chosen from our local chapter leaders, and six appointed by John Kitzhaber and the staff. The new grassroots structure for the Archimedes Movement is the result of months of hard work by our all-volunteer Interim Steering Committee. To learn more about their work, see the document that outlines our new structure.

Thank you for your work and support. It's the momentum and energy at the heart of the Archimedes Movement.
