The Oregon Health Fund Board (OHFB) will be soliciting public input on their proposal for health reform during the month of September. There will be meetings in several cities around the state and one hearing for formal public testimony at the end of the month.

Multnomah County: Restaurants and Calorie Information
Multnomah County Commissioners recently voted in favor of an order that would require chain restaurants (those who have more than 15 eateries nationwide) to display calorie information for items on their menus. Here is an article that describes the hearing and vote.
First Members of Community Leadership Council Elected
The response to the call for nominees for our Community Leadership Council was overwhelming. Overall we had close to 40 nominees for the at-large and chapter positions on the Council and every person nominated brought great strengths, community connections and a desire to work hard to help us reach our goals.
