New chapter/group members are subscribed to group email notifications by default. A user may choose to disable this from his or her profile page. The link to change that preference is also at the bottom of each email.
To change the setting, login and go to the chapter page. There, in the right column in the chapter menu, click on "my subscription."
Depending on your overall account preferences, you may be able to change your email setting for the current chapter/group on the My Subscription page.
- If your overall account preferences are set to "Always receive email notifications," it will say that and offer a link to your main account profile page. (Continue below)
- If not, you can update your preference for this group immediately. (This means you're done!)
You can select:
- Never send email notifications
- Always send email notifications
- Selectively send email notification based on the checkbox for each of my group's My Subscription page
If you select the last option, you'll want to go back to the chapter or group page (see above) and, in right column in the chapter menu, click on "my subscription." You can then set your preference for that specific group.
NOTE: These settings only apply to email coming from groups or chapters to which you have subscribed. Instructions for unsubscribing to email that goes to all members is included at the bottom of those emails.
